Chinese Savoury Pancakes


  • A good handful of ramsons, shredded
  • 1 handful of hogweed shoots
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 red chillis, finely chopped
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 360 mls of water
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Olive oil

How to make the Chinese Savoury Pancakes

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, eggs, water and salt
  • Stir to make a smooth batter with a thick consistency
  • Stir in the rest of the ingredients
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan
  • Pour 1 tbsp of batter into the pan for each pancake
  • Fry for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown
  • Flip and fry for another 3 or 4 minutes
  • Remove from the pan and drain on a paper towel
