Excellent day out in the autumn. We are just getting into bushcraft and Gary was as helpful as he was knowledgable. A very relaxed teaching style and awesome camp (complete with hot smoky tea) made us feel at home immediately.
Gary's practical demonstrations and explanations led to a very rewarding day for my partner and I as we utilised our newly learnt knife skills to safely carve useful tools, split wood and create a fire from scratch using different types of tinder and ignition methods.
We had a brilliant day and have already booked more courses. We highly recommend the course and the team. Extra star would be added for Willow the dog if I could; she is obviously highly experienced at getting ear scratches and biscuits from students.
Fantastic day - time just flew past. Gary was super knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be booking more courses. Thank you!
We've attended a few courses here before and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. We learn so much and develop new skills. I brought my son on this occasion and he loved it to. We cant recommend Gary and the team highly eenough. Will certainly look at coming next year.
Took my 16 year old granddaughter and her aunt, on a one day bushcraft course last weekend, where she learnt to use a sheath knife and folding saw safely to make a tent peg, and various methods of making fire. Challenging her comfort zone, and helping build her confidence was achieved in a stimulating and friendly setting.
My son (12 years) and I really enjoyed the course, we learnt lots and he was kept interested with fire lighting, stick collecting and fire making. Thank you.
