Despite not being a total beginner, there were very few times that I found myself not learning something new. From using a knife handling to firelighting, I cannot recommend this course enough.
Attended on 19.10.24. Excellent in all respects. Everything was covered: Foraging, Knife Skills, Fire lighting and shelters. It was heavy rain the day we did the course but camp consisted of numerous covered areas so the course could be conducted in relative comfort despite the weather. Gary's tuition was excellent - everything was covered in such a way as to make us confident having a go for ourselves so we all developed numerous skills on the day. Thoroughly recommend.
Excellent day out learning all things bush craft. I took my husband for a day course that covered knife skills, fire making and foraging and we had a great day out. Really recommend this company, the guidance was great.
What a beautiful place. Friendly people knowledgeable and very welcoming. I had a day that I will remember. We were not rushed and everything was explained fully. The camp is well laid out and comfortable. The weather was kind so lucky! I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in the outdoor life. I am looking forward to booking another experience.
Last month l was with my family canoeing the creeks and lakes of Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada. I felt very guilty and inadequate allowing the other members of my family to set up camp etc. Having completed this day course l can return with confidence next year and make a valid competent contribution to the wild camping in that glorious part of the world.
