Who doesn’t like prawn toast when they have a Chinese. Here we’ve added some nettles to the recipe, and it definitely is better for it. But don’t take my word for it – give it a try yourself, it’s really easy to make and tastes great. Plus nettles are good for you, so a win win!
Ingredients
- 2 handfulls of prepared nettles*
- Bunch of ramsons
- 12 raw prawns
- 1 egg
- 6 slices of bread
- 2cm piece of ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce
- Sesame seeds
- Pinch of salt
- Olive oil
How to make the Sesame Nettle Toast
- Finely chop the prawns
- Add the salt, egg, ginger, soy sauce, ramsons and nettles and mix into a paste
- Spread the mixture onto the bread
- Sprinkle with some seame seeds
- Cut into 4 triangles
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and shallow fry on both sides until golden brown
*To prepare the nettles, plunge them into hot water, immeadiately refresh them with cold water, drain and ring out any water.
