Pakoras are easy to make and absolutely delicious. Â Give this simple recipe a try.
Ingredients
- 200g of red dead nettles and Jack by the hedge, finely chopped
- 100g of grated carrots
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 200g chickpea flower
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 tsp of salt
- Vegetable oil
How to cook Jack by the hedge & dead nettle pakoras
- Mix the chickpea flour with the seasoning and spices and then add water to make a paste
- Combine the remaining ingredients and mix well
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan to shallow fry
- Take a desert spoon of the mixture and add to the hot vegetable oil
- Cook in small batches until all the mixture is used up
- Fry the pakoras on both sides until golden brown
- Drain on some kitchen roll and serve
