How to make a tippy tap

As we’re preparing to start running courses again we’ve been putting some thought into hand washing.  A popular method is to use a tippy tap.  If you’re wondering how to make a tippy tap, it’s a straightforward idea – hang a water container on a pole between two tripods, tie a piece of string to the container and tie a foot pedal on the other end!

In this short video we show you how to make a tippy tap yourself.  It’s easy to do and took us about 20 minutes, including sourcing the ash poles we used for the tripods.  The one we’ve made in the video is in our Kids Party Camp, mostly used for running Children’s Parties.

We don’t take photos of the parties but if you want to see photos of people who’ve attended our bushcraft courses, look on our Facebook page.
