Bannock, also known as flat bread, is a simple unleavened bread made from plain flour and water; we make it for breakfast on our Wayfarer’s Weekend. You can be a little more adventurous by adding some milk powder to the flour or from time to time I’ll use natural yoghurt instead of the water. Of course you can always add in some other ingredients, at this time of year it would be a shame not to throw a few blackberries into the mix or some ramsons in the spring.
So watch this short video to find out how to make bannock.
We teach how to make bannock on our foraging courses. You can see loads of photos from these cousres, as well as all of our others, on our Facebook page.
