As usual we’ll be carrying out some Woodland Management & Camp Maintenance over the winter, in December 2024 and again in January, February and March 2025. In no particular order:
- Tidy up an area where commercial forestry has taken place and construct some dead hedges,
- Re-cover a couple of debris shelters,
- Gather hazel to make spindles for bow drilling,
- Replace a couple of posts on the camp kitchen,
- Clear a couple of paths of fallen ash and brambles so we can get better access to some areas of the woodland.
We’ll be running woodland management & camp maintenance activities on the following dates:
- 7th & 8th December 2024
- 4th & 5th January 2025
- 8th & 9th February 2025
- 8th & 9th March 2025
Feel free to come along for a day or the entire weekend, if you want you can also camp over in the woods. We’ll supply hot drinks, meals and a roaring stove in the yurt to keep warm in the evenings!
