What’s it about?
We’ve put together this 1 day family bushcraft course especially for parents who’d like to spend quality time with their children in an exciting, challenging and fun environment – the great British woodlands. So if you’re looking for a great day out with the kids, you’ve come to the right place!
If you’re looking for a party for your child, we can do that for you. For this course however, we suggest that an adult brings a maximum of two children with them.
What will I do?
During your time spent with us at our stunning bushcraft camp in Kent, you and the children will:
- Learn how to safely use a knife to carry out a simple carving project,
- Get plenty of opportunity to create a flame using matches, fire steels, wire wool, the sun and fire by friction,
- Gather materials and light a fire,
- Build a debris shelter from branches and bracken,
- Go for a woodland walk to get an insight into the wildlife we share the woods with.
By the time you and the children leave us, you’ll have shared some great experiences, learnt some fantastic wilderness skills and had a lot of fun!
The cost is per person attending. So, for example, if you intend to bring 2 children, you will need to book 3 places (1 place for you and 2 for the children).
By making a booking you confirm that you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions.

Myself and my son just got back from the family bushcraft day. It was a great day and we learned so much. Gary and Nicola were lovely people. Already looking to book our next course.
Thoroughly recommend this course.
Great to see families and kids learning new stuff they don't do in ordinary everyday life. Very good for everyone from young to old

Great day and food! Will be booking more like it.
An amazing day had by us all. Our children are aged between 3 and 12 and each of them really enjoyed it at their own level, as did we. Very welcoming and informative hosts. Inspired us all and we now have all the kit at home to light fires evidenced by the scorch marks on the grass. Many thanks.
A really good introduction to bushcraft skills,my son and I had a great day.
