My wife and attended a tuition day with Gary as complete beginners. It snowed all day and this just added to the wonderful experience - will strongly recommend and we are definitely coming back again for some future courses.
Had an amazing time on my tutorial day with Gary. Extremely knowledgable and learnt some very useful skills. Will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend
What a brilliant two days. I particularly appreciated the relaxed way Gary worked, tailoring the material we covered to fill in those areas missing from the knowledge and skill I already had. Now I just have to practice and remember all that I have learnt. Thank you.
To all,If youre thinking about doing it, stop, and go do it! Great two days with Gary going through everything I was interested in gaining knowledge in and more! We managed to look at (and do) friction fire, including sourcing all materials, cordage, pot hangers, water and lots of other impotant little pointers. Plus its all done in a great enviroment so lots of walking about in the woods which I'd guess most people interested in this stuff would also appreciate. All the days ive had up with Jack Raven have been great (5 now) so if any of their courses catch your eye then go and book yourself on because these are nice, knowledagble people and you won't be disappointed.
What a brilliant day! Gary was really laid back and I felt really comfortable with him, his knowledge is so detailed and I have learned so many new skills. The course has really inspired me and I can't wait to get out again soon. The camp is awesome and the location is beautiful. Look forward to getting a hatchet making loads more spatulas etc... and eating more pignuts! Thanks a million.
