What’s it about?
Located between Canterbury and Ashford, join us on the beautiful Kent Downs for this wonderful half day willow weaving workshop.
Willow weaving is a traditional craft for creating functional and decorative items using flexible willow rods. It involves soaking and preparing the willow, then using weaving techniques like pairing or slewing to form sculptures. The process can be done with either freshly cut or dried willow that’s been soaked to regain pliability.
We’ve put together this willow weaving workshop for anyone who likes to use their hands and would like to learn this fabulous traditional rural craft.
What will I do on a willow weaving workshop?
