A white fox in the woods? 1

About 8:30 or so on Saturday evening Frank and I decided to take a stroll around the woods; at one point we almost broke into a dawdle. Willow was already off doing her own thing. As we rounded a slight bend in the track, sat about 15 yards in front was what we both initially thought was Willow. Then came the realisation that it wasn’t the dog, but a fox. It promptly took off at pace and we watched it for maybe 5 seconds or so before it disappeared from sight. What was unusual about the fox was its colour, it looked almost white, maybe a pale grey, but definitely a long way off red. I knew there could be colour variation in foxes, but didn’t realise that they could be that pale. We’ll need to keep an eye out for it and try to get a photo.
