Woodland Management this weekend

We’ll be up the woods this weekend undertaking some woodland mangement.  A few hardy souls have volunteered to help out so there will be 6 of us.  We’re hoping that it will be a case of ‘many hands make light work’ and that we are able to finish thinning the ash stands and make a good start on the overstood hazel.  We’ll make some time to get some ash staves together for bow making as well.

The weather is predicted to be -4 on Saturday night, so we’ll be sat in the yurt with the wood burner going, a big pot of stew, and, as it isn’t a course, a few beers.

Big thanks to Ross, Terry, Tony and Jason for volunteering to help out.  We’ll take a few photos and post them next week.
