Jack by the Hedge & Dead Nettle Pakoras


Pakoras are easy to make and absolutely delicious.  Give this simple recipe a try.

Ingredients

  • 250g of red dead nettles and hedge garlic
  • 4 carrots, grated
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 250g chickpea flower
  • 1 tsp of dried chillies
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • Vegetable oil

Method

  • Mix the chickpea flour with water to make a paste
  • Combine the remaining ingredients with the paste
  • Take a spoonful of the mix and mould with hands into a ball
  • Heat the oil in a large pan until very hot
  • Add the mixture balls a few at a time
  • Turn down the heat so they cook inside
  • Cook until golden
